The airline first began flying to Hong Kong from Heathrow Airport in February 1994 and has since carried more than 2.1 million passengers on the route.
Capacity was doubled in December 2008 when a second daily flight was launched.
According to Virgin Atlantic, this development boosted flexibility for people visiting Hong Kong but also created a new option for travellers looking for connecting flights to Sydney.
Steve Ridgway, chief executive of Virgin Atlantic, said: "To be celebrating 15 years of flying to Hong Kong is a real achievement for Virgin Atlantic and we are proud to have been offering passengers our excellent service on this route since 1994."
He added: "Fifteen years on, Hong Kong still remains a very popular business and holiday destination, with an increasing number of passengers taking city breaks to the region."
Hong Kong is the home hub of Cathay Pacific, which offers direct flights to the city from Heathrow Airport and connections from Manchester Airport and Newcastle Airport via codeshare services.
